Matthew Kuschel joined the firm in September 2015. He practices in the firm’s growing Municipal Practice Group, concentrating on the representation of drain and water resource commissioners throughout the state as well as townships, cities, counties, libraries, and special authorities served by the firm.

Mr. Kuschel previously worked for the Michigan Court of Appeals. His work included research on dozens of appeals covering a wide variety of topics including administrative law, municipal law, and business litigation.

Matthew received his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida, in May 2012. While in law school, he served as a senior editor of the Ave Maria Law Review and earned a place on the Dean’s List in each semester of study. Prior to attending law school, Matthew graduated from James Madison College at Michigan State University.
