Jacob Witte joined the firm in March of 2018. He practices in the firm’s growing Municipal Practice Group, focusing on the representation of townships, cities, counties, libraries, and special authorities served by the firm.

Before joining the firm, Jake served as an intern for the Honorable John T. Gregg in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Michigan, where he prepared bench memoranda to be used in court opinions, conducted extensive legal research and authored an article that was published in the Fall 2017 edition of the Federal Bar Association Bankruptcy Section Newsletter. Jake also served as an intern for the Honorable Rosemarie E. Aquilina in the 30th Circuit Court.

Jake received his Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating fourth in his class in December of 2017. While attending Cooley, Jake served as the Articles Editor for the WMU Cooley Law Review, acted as the Student Chairperson of the Grade Appeals Board, worked as a teaching assistant and a private tutor, and received an honors scholarship. Prior to law school, Jake graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies.
