Get the Lead Out

Christopher S. Patterson and Matthew A. Kuschel, Fahey Schultz Burzych Rhodes PLC

Wednesday, April 3, 2019, 1:30 to 2:45 p.m.

Presentation Overview:

Michigan’s Lead and Copper Rule requires that township water systems remove certain service lead lines from their systems. These lines were always considered owned and maintained by the water customer. A recent amendment to the rules now places the responsibility of removal on the township utilities. Gain insights into line replacement and raising the necessary revenue to do so.
